Design Jumpstart
Delano Design Visits Your Home to Assess What You're Starting With
Understand Where You're Starting to Know Where You're Going
Every homeowner starts a remodel with the same question: what is this actually going to take? You can't answer it from Pinterest, and you can't answer it from a contractor's walkthrough, because a contractor is estimating a project nobody has defined yet.
The Design Jumpstart is how we answer it properly.
Ryan comes to your home, walks the space with you, documents your priorities, and identifies the layout and feasibility issues that will drive every decision downstream. You leave with real direction, an honest read on what the project requires, and a clear next step.
What to Expect During Our Visit
-
We walk every space in scope. You show us what's frustrating you and what you're picturing. We look at how the rooms connect, where the light comes from, and how you move through the house.
-
We look for the constraints. Load-bearing walls, plumbing stacks, ceiling heights, mechanical locations, and the things that quietly determine whether your idea is straightforward or expensive.
-
We talk numbers honestly. Not an estimate, but a grounded conversation about what a project like yours typically requires so you can decide whether to keep going.
-
We define next steps. You'll know what services your project needs, what drawings and permits are involved, and what the sequence looks like.
If you move forward with full-service design, the Jumpstart fee is credited toward it.
Questions About Our Design Jumpstart Service
- How much is the Design Jumpstart?expand_more
-
It's $500, and it's credited toward your design fee if you continue with full-service design. Full pricing for every service is in our Cost Guide.
- Why isn't the first visit free?expand_more
-
Put briefly, the site visit isn't a sales call. Ryan will spend diligent time in your home doing diagnostic work, and you leave with information you can use even if you choose not to partner with us. Typically, when you sign up for a free consultation with a company, you're getting an introductory conversation about what to expect and to see if you're a good fit for each other.
- What size project makes sense for a Jumpstart?expand_more
-
Our services fit renovations with a construction investment of roughly $50,000 or more. Smaller projects, decorating-only work, and furnishing projects generally don't need the planning and documentation we provide, and we'll tell you that on the fit call before you book.

Where We Work
We design remodels throughout metro Atlanta, with a concentration in intown neighborhoods where the homes have real architectural character and owners are investing to stay rather than move. Older housing stock takes more planning, and that's the work we're built for. If your home is outside the areas below, reach out anyway and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.
